Six categories, and a test for each one.

Corporate A Members of the Chamber are legal entities, with registered offices in Georgia, doing business in Georgia, and interested in the purposes for which the Chamber is organized.

01 / Corporate A

At least one of four criteria

  1. a

    A company founded or incorporated in the US, whose principal place of management is located in the US, with the majority of the members of its Board of Directors, officers, and shareholders U.S. citizens. It must submit a consolidated corporate income tax return for its worldwide operations to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service on an annual basis. Companies falling in this group do not need to have offices registered in Georgia provided they own at least 33 percent of a registered and operational Georgian company or movable property and have a permanent representative in Georgia.

    A company with more than 33 percent U.S. ownership.

  3. c

    A Georgian legal entity doing at least 33 percent of its annual revenues in the US.

  4. d

    A Georgian legal entity with significant trading activity with the US provided trading with the US exceeds 33 percent of its annual turnover.

The other five categories

The chamber publishes the eligibility rule for every category and no dues figure against any of them. Six of their pages were fetched by hand, including the membership ladder and the patron page, and none prints a fee. The one price they do publish is for advertising, and it is carried below rather than presented as a membership rate.

Corporate B Member
Legal entities who are not eligible as Corporate A Members but who demonstrate an interest in fulfilling the purposes of the Chamber. They may participate in Chamber activities, attend Chamber meetings, and designate two individuals as their representatives.
Non Profit Organizations
An organization registered in Georgia or the United States which exists for educational or charitable purposes, does not pay out profits to its founders, members, trustees or similar stakeholders, and is recognized as non profit under Georgian law or the law of the United States.
Individual Member
United States citizens resident in Georgia, or nationals of other countries who are accepted as Individual Members by the Chamber.
Special rates are available for individual members employed by a Corporate A, Corporate B or Non Profit member.
Visiting Member
Companies or individuals who spend less than fifty percent of their time in Georgia and who wish to support the Chamber, receive Chamber publications, and take part in Chamber activities when in Georgia.
Visiting members are not entitled to vote.
Patron Member
An additional category members can apply to join, alongside their regular membership category.
Their own patron page currently reads "Coming soon...", so nothing further is published about what it carries.

Their own banner at the June luncheon is headed "Patron Members" and carries the marks of Bank of Georgia, GULF, PricewaterhouseCoopers, UGT, TBC and Wolt. Their patron membership page, read on the same day, says "Coming soon...". Both are theirs and neither is reconciled here.

Corporate B membership is open to anyone who demonstrates an interest in the purposes of the Chamber.
